Central Park and a lunch at a lovely Kosher restaurant downtown. Some
shopping at Nike's where prices are, more or less, 60% of the European
ones and the choice is much bigger. In the evening a dinner, by
myself, at a sea food restaurant on the West 57th Street. Fantastic
lobster and oysters accompanied by a great California wine.
Relaxing! My mobile has been off all day but still I got some messages
from work and I have to reply.
Tonight there has been a storm, still going on while I write and I am
not sure about tomorrow visit to Miss Liberty. I managed to get the
tickets to walk up the Crown. Let's hope I will manage to get up and
be there on time.
It was nice to talk to some old friends today. One is a journalist
working for the New York Times and another lady is a violinist. They
were both showing some sort of enthusiasm about the "New America" of
Barack Obama. I wonder when, Italians, will have the same honour of
declaring themselves "enthusiastic" about something, especially
politics. We are lucky enough if our politicians steal a bit less than
the previous ones and even this hope goes always unattended...
Anyway, time to go to sleep.
Catch later!
