weekend in Manhattan

It has been a great one despite the bizarre weather conditions.
Between a storm and a full blast sun spell, the weekend has nearly
gone. A few things have changed in NY and some are not so positive. I
find shop assistants and taxi driver much ruder than they used to be.
Waiters are always friendly due to the tipping policy. Little Italy is
shrinking at the expense of China Town and most restaurants are now
managed by non-Italians that put on an accent but they do not
understand and speak a word of Italian. A bit of a fake with big
Little Italy souvenirs for sale by Chinese people... Well, I assume
that it is not all so bad. If they are no longer in a ghetto means
that they have mixed with the rest of the people and they are now
fully American while the Chinese are the new Italians and for them the
integration will definitely be more difficult.

Anyhow, I met a friend from University and we are going together
somewhere in Massachusetts on Tuesday. We are driving there and I
managed to change my tickets from NY to Rome with some mew ones from
Boston to Rome.

Will keep you posted, now I must go to shit all the Italian-like food
I ate: disgusting! I used to say that Little Italy was the only place
outside of Italy where food tastes as good as in Italy. forget it!
It's crap!

Have a nice day everyone! Especially the guy who won 147 million Euro
at the Italian lottery... Lucky sod!
